India faces numerous persistent healthcare challenges, but renewed national focus and commitment to improving the health system presents an opportunity for positive change. Health System for a New India: Building Blocks – Potential Pathways to Reform was published by NITI Aayog, a Government of India think tank, in November 2019. The report’s four main chapters cover core topic areas vital to improving the efficiency and quality of the health system:

The report incorporates more than a year’s worth of research and dialogue with key government, private sector and international stakeholders.
