HIGHLIGHTS

  • India’s public hospitals face many constraints including resource shortages, weak management and poor linkages to the rest of the health system
  • Aceso Global designed and delivered trainings for Indian officials on value-based care models and hospital governance reform

Aceso Global designed and delivered trainings for Indian officials covering two related strategies to raise public hospital performance, and that of the public healthcare system more broadly. The first session examined ways to improve quality and coordination within the health sector through new care models centered on comprehensive primary care and integration across hospitals and primary care. The second session looked at how to improve the managerial capacity of public hospitals through governance and management reforms. Both sessions were grounded in the Indian context and supplemented by international cases. This training is part of Aceso Global’s ongoing efforts to support public hospital strengthening in India.
