HIGHLIGHTS

Aceso Global developed a policy brief for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) exploring pathways to implement integrated primary care across Asia Pacific. While integrated care is a widely shared goal, countries pursue it in diverse ways, with reforms often aimed at improving chronic care, easing hospital burdens, and enhancing patient experience through more coordinated services. The brief highlights case studies from Lao PDR, Thailand, Bangladesh, and the Philippines to illustrate varying models of integration. It also identifies common implementation challenges and provides a framework of policy levers and practical lessons to guide health leaders in designing and operationalizing successful integrated care initiatives.
