William D. Savedoff is a Senior Partner at Social Insight. He works on improving the accessibility, quality, and efficiency of public service provision in low- and middle-income countries through changes in institutions, organizations, contracting, and evaluation. He has done extensive research, writing and program support on results-based financing, aid effectiveness, health systems, corruption, health taxes, governance, and the politics of service reforms. In prior positions with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Center for Global Development, the World Health Organization, and as a consultant for many countries and international agencies, Dr. Savedoff has also prepared projects and advised governments in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. His publications include Cash on Delivery AidGoverning Mandatory Health Insurance and Diagnosis Corruption. He received his PhD in Economics from Boston University.
