Anna Bonfert manages Aceso Global’s Latin America portfolio and supports technical research on health financing, hospital management, and quality. Before joining Aceso Global, she worked at the World Bank focusing on the design and implementation of impact evaluations. Her past work experience in health economics and financing also includes a transition readiness assessment in Brazil for the Global Fund and a research project on health insurance for informal sector workers for GIZ and the Indonesian Ministry of Health. She received a BSc in International Economics from the University of Tübingen in Germany and an MA in Global Human Development from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where she focused on health economics and finance. She has lived and worked in multiple Latin American countries, and speaks German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
